MCGS January General Meeting

Finding Immigration and Naturalization Records

Advanced Strategies and Techniques

Lisa’s webinar navigates naturalization records to discover what information they contain about your ancestors. Learn advanced strategies and techniques to find your elusive ancestor among others with the same name and how to leverage other record sets for clues to find your immigrant ancestor. First papers, petitions, certificates, and registrations. These are some of the key documents for Naturalization--the process to apply to become a U.S. citizen. Due to changing laws and an evolving process over time, locating the appropriate official paperwork can often be a challenging task for family historians.
